If you took the strengths of others, and compared them to your weaknesses, how do you think they’d compare? Do you think it would make you feel any good?
There is an infinite number of categories upon which we can compare ourselves and an almost infinite number of people to compare ourselves to. This is made even worse by constantly being on social media. This usually ends in a result of you either feeling low in self-confidence, unhappy, jealous or unmotivated.
Here is some tips on how stop comparing yourself to others and start enjoying YOUR life:
- Be aware of its ill effects and how it wont benefit you, taking action once you notice yourself doing it and change your focus on to something else.
- Count your blessings, I’m sure you are pretty great at something that others wish to have your success in that area of your life. Gratitude allows us to be thankful for the good things we have in our life.
- Remember NO BODY is perfect; everyone will have their own imperfections not just you.
- Find inspiration without comparison– use other people’s success as a way to motivate you and learn from them without comparing yourself to them.
- Focus on the yourself- We should always be striving to be a greater version of ourselves. That journey has nothing to do with how well other people are doing, or what they have.Work hard to take care of yourself as a whole, not just your fitness goals. Commit to continually ticking your box’s, growing a little bit each day. Learn to celebrate the little achievements you are making without comparing them to others.
